Arm Lock Escape – Variation One

Defending arm locks can be a real pain when trying to open your opponent’s closed guard, but it is something you will need to get used to! In an ideal world, you wouldn’t allow the attacker to get to this position, but this is a solid defence to go to when stuch in a tricky position.

Arm Lock Escape – Variation Two

This arm lock defence is a real last ditch attempt to escape the submission attempt. Sometimes you won’t be able to react quickly enough to perform the first arm lock defence, so this technique offers a final lifeline.
